Peer EducationWHAT IS ECLIPSE?
Eclipse is a Peer Education project, which operates
in West Lothian. Eclipse receives funding and financial
support from the Scottish Executive, Changing Children’s services fund and West
Lothian Drug Action Team and is run by the West Lothian Youth Action
Project.

ECLIPSE OBJECTIVES
WHAT DOES ECLIPSE DO?Eclipse operates throughout West Lothian, working with young people in a variety of settings to raise awareness of drug and alcohol use and promote positive lifestyles.Eclipse adopts a peer led approach.The project supports young volunteers (between 16 and 21) to work with other young people on drug and alcohol issues, which affect them. Eclipse operates in schools, youth clubs and other places
where young people feel at ease discussing aspects of drug and alcohol use.
Eclipse encourages young people to look at their own attitude
to drug and alcohol, both legal and illegal.
Eclipse gives young people the opportunity to voice their
opinions about substances by working with them on these issues.
VOLUNTEERINGEclipse needs volunteers from different backgrounds with different interests, skills, and life experiences.
