YOUTH ACTION COMMITTEE (YAC)
We are representatives from the Youth Action Committee (YAC). Our aims are to improve the services and the lives of young people across West Lothian.
As a committee we have representatives on the West Lothian Youth Congress, Scottish Youth Parliament and the UK Parliament.
In the past year we have…
- Social events – meals, bowling, music events.
- Visited the Corner in Dundee.
- Attended Aberdeen Youth Conference.
- Attended and delivered a workshop at the W.L.Y.A.P AGM.
- Went on a planning and team building residential.
- Took part in the Health Consultation.
- Debt or Saving Handling training (DOSH)
- Continue to support other committees and forums throughout West Lothian.
- Attended a music festival.
In the coming year we aim to…
- Recruit new members.
- Gain wider representation from across West Lothian.
- Improve publicity of our services.
- To continue and improve youth participation and services throughout West Lothian.
- Become even more influential on decision making both at local and national level.
